Transfer Centre: DEADLINE DAY HEADLINES

 1.  Arsenal have signed Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid on Deadline Day after meeting his £45m release clause.

Partey signed a long-term deal at the Emirates after he completed his medical and paperwork just before Monday's 11pm deadline.

He will wear the No 18 shirt and will join up with his new team-mates next week after he returns from international duty with Ghana.

Partey has been a key player in Diego Simeone's midfield since breaking into the first team from Atletico's academy in 2015.

Mikel Arteta said: "We have been watching Thomas for a while, so we're now delighted to add such a high quality player to our squad.

2. Man Utd sign Cavani on one year deal and Alex Telles

It was confirmed on Saturday that the 33-year-old had held discussions with the cluband he has secured his move to Old Trafford ahead of Monday's 11pm transfer deadline.

Cavani left Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season after scoring 187 goals during his seven years in the French capital

He becomes United's second Deadline Day signing after left-back Alex Telles joined from Porto in a £15.4m deal.

"Manchester United is one of the greatest clubs in the world, so it is a real honour to be here," said the Uruguay international.

Manchester United have completed the Deadline Day signing of Porto left-back Alex Telles for a fee of £15.4m.

The 27-year-old has signed a contract until June 2024, with the option of a further year.

United's hopes of signing the left-back appeared to be fading after their offer was initially rejected by the Portuguese champions, who were holding out for £22.5m.

3. Theo Walcott has returned to his boyhood club Southampton on a season-long loan move from Everton.

The winger, who holds 47 England caps, passed his medical on Monday afternoon and will spend the remainder of the 2020/21 campaign at St Mary's Stadium.

Walcott joined Southampton's youth ranks in 2000, and scored five times in 22 appearances before moving to Arsenal in 2006.

He arrived at Everton for a fee of around £20m in January 2018 and has gone on to play 85 times for the club, but only played 12 minutes this season.

"I've been looking after myself," Walcott told Sky Sports News. "I've not been able to get the minutes in but the competition is very high and obviously Everton have started off very well.
