ASP Ako Ude has been reportedly murdered and DPO of Nzam Division have been seriously brutalized

ASP Ako Ude has been reportedly murdered and DPO of Nzam Division was also reported to have been seriously brutalized by Odekpe Community thugs, profjaysblog reports.

In our earlier publications, we had reported on our the people and thugs from Odekpe Community in Anambra West Local Government Area of Anambra State stormed Onugwa/Allah Communities to destroy properties, means of Livelihood and killed some of the villagers.

on how the same Odekpe Community through their thugs and warlords kidnapped and murdered one Mr Tony Uzor at a place where he was seeking refuge somewhere in Edo State.

Sometimes in this year, on the 23rd of April 2020 to be precise, Anambra State Commissioner of Police had sent in some Police personnel to bring normalcy at the community that has been ravaged by crises for some times. The Police personnel had gotten themselves ready to discharge their professional duties as enshrined in the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria, to protect lives and properties but they were waged with war on getting to the crises communities.

Information at our disposal has it the that people of Odekpe Community had unleased their terror on sighting the Police officers that were sent to quench the already ingnited fire of crises ravaging the communities.

It seems the thugs from Odekpe Community overpowered the police officers and that made some of them to flee from the scene before time while luck was not on the side of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Nzam Division, the Headquarters of Anambra West Local Government Area of Anambra State. As at the time of this publication, the name of the DPO that was badly brutalized by the people and thugs of Odekpe Community was not known. Some of his surbodinate were also manhandled, beaten and pinned to the ground.

One of the Police officers on duty that very day, ASP Ako Ude was murdered in the process of trying to discharge his professional duties to his country.

It seems this ugly incident has been swept under the carpet as nothing has been done to bring the culprits to book from the Anambra State Police Command and also the Inspector General of Police. The killers of ASP Ako Ude are still free and walking freely in the society with the mindset of committing more crimes.

One of the villager had told our correspondent that, “we are calling on the Inspector General of Police and Anambra State Police Command to make sure the perpetrators of the crime are brought to book and should not go unpunished
