Touching Memories Of Actors And Actress That Died While Shooting a Movie including Including Paul Walker and Bruce Lee
1. Heath Ledger:
Popular for the character he played as the (Joker) in the famous blockbuster movie Batman: “The Dark Knight”
Heath Ledger accidentally died of drug overdose while filming on set for the movie “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” in 2008.
The movie was later completed with another popular actor Johnny Depp. The death of Heath Ledger came as a shock to many batman movie fans, because he played the character Joker so well that he was loved even as a bad guy in the sequel.
Heath Ledger left his mark in Hollywood movie industry, he is still touted as the best man to ever play the Joker for whom he was. He is still missed till date.
2. Andy Whitefield:
His role in popular franchise (Spartacus: Blood and Sand) will never be forgotten by any movie fan. Andy Whitefield's movie was so popular it sold all over the world, even though it contained some serious explicit scenes.
The medieval battle between slave warriors fighting in the honor of their slave masters and for their freedom made the popular series a never seen before.
But before the series could run its course, the lead actor Spartacus (Andy Whitefield) developed non-Hodgkin lymphoma cancer, and died in Australian hospital at the age of 39.
3. Aaliyah
The death of Aaliyah at age of 22 was a left the world dumbfounded. Growing up we watched this multi-talented young woman take on the world.
At 22 years she already sold 32 million records and acted in so many movies including “Romeo Must Die” where she starred along Chinese movie icon Jet Li.
She also starred in another movie where she played the role of a vampire queen ( Queen of the Damned)
Aaliyah was nothing but talent, a singer and an actor- it was rumored she was secretly married to R&B singer R. Kelly when she was only 15, and her husband R. Kelly was 25 then.
She had few popular movies to her name including (Honey) which was in production before her demise. It was later completed by Jessica Alba post her death. Aaliyah died in an air crash in 2001.
4. Bruce Lee:
Bruce dying at just the age of 32 is still a mystery, if you ask any Nigerian what killed Bruce Lee, the answer you'll get is 'muscle pull'. Very funny but he died from a brain tumor after intake of arspirin medications which negatively altered his condition, and that led to his death.
Bruce Lee was born in San Francisco 1940, his father was also a movie actor. At 8, Bruce and family went back to his Native hometown where he learned kung-fu and at 18, he returned to the US where he later married an American woman, and they had a son Brandon Lee.
His movie career in the US wasn't as popular as his movies were back in his hometown Hong Kong, a series he played in the US was more of a cartoon character which didn't air for long.
This prompted him to return to his hometown where he redid it and It was a huge success. He then followed it up with other movies like (Way of the Dragon, and Fist of Fury) which were major blockbusters. Few years after his death, his last movie (Enter the Dragon) was released.
5. Paul Walker:
Paul needs no introduction, (Brick Mansions) which was a spin off of the movie B13, he was an undercover cop who partnered with a resident of Banliue 13 to stop a drug peddling boss, the movie was a hit. And we all saw it.
But the movie that made Paul a star was The Fast and Furious”, I even blame this movie for Paul's death. Paul was an excellent driver we all saw in Fast and Furious, but he brought that driving skill to real life which cost him dearly.
He was still filming the Fast and Furious franchise when he crashed with his red Porsche Carrera in California and died at the spot. He died at age 40, still missed by his Fast and Furious buddies, and fans all over the world.
May their souls RIP
