Don Jazzy Reacts To Allegation Against Dbanj Rape Scandal

D’banj May Be In Serious Trouble As Don Jazzy Reveals Fact On Rape Allegation
On the 3rd of June, a Nigerian model scout, Benjamin Ese, took to his Instagram page, where he alleged that Dapo Oyebanjo aka D’banj had rapped his friend Seyitan Babatayo, at Glee hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, in December 31, 2018.

The said victim of the rape, Seyitan, then revealed herself and confirmed that she was raped by D’banj and demanded an apology from him, through her Twitter handle, @seyitannn_ .
D'banj did not respond to the allegation immediately but later did through his Instagram account. In his response he denied all the allegations made against him and said he had handed the matter to his legal team and also reported the case to the police.

His lawyer Mike Ozekhome Chambers then demanded compensation of N100 million within 48 hours from Seyitan or she may face legal action and also warned her to retreat her statement and write an open letter of apology to D'banj, that would be published in 4 national dailies.

Later on there were rumours that the girl and her mother were arrested by the police and refused access to her lawyer. However, on Wednesday, 17 of June, Seyitan the alleged victim of the rape, tweeted that she was tired of the whole thing that she and her mother were never arrested.

When @TellMeAll visited her Twitter handle, @seyitannn_ we saw that her page was being used to promote D'bang and his music video.
Some people believed that Dbanj had influenced the case with his money and they had seized the girls phone, deleted her messages and used her page to promote Dbanj's music video.
Yesterday, 18th of June, a new momentum was added to the whole story as Don Jazzy a friend and former associate of D'banj appeared to have revealed what he knows about the whole thing. Although no names were mentioned, it was easy to infer he was referring to the rape allegation made against D'banj. In a tweet he made on Twitter, he said no matter how long a lie last the truth will surely come to limelight. He added that one of the girls was actually a victim. He sympathised with victims of rape and urged them to speak up.

@DONJAZZY, "No matter how long a lie last, the truth will always prevail. The fact is that one of them is a victim and the law will protect that person. I stand firmly against rape and all injustices against women, children and everyone including oppression. I urge all victims to speak out and report to the appropriate quarters. It is also important that evey accused person is given an opportunity to set the facts straight. For most of us, all we have is the good name our parents have given us and we must protect and bequeath to our own successors.

"This particular case saddens my soul but I am not competent to investigate or judge this matter. I implore the police to thoroughly investigate and courts to do justice."
